Double-click the Outlookicon on the desktop or Start menu to open the program.
Click Close toclose the "Mail Setup-Outlook" window.
Click Close to close the "AccountSettings"window.
Clear the check box next to "Remember password.".
Type your_udelnetidin the box labeled "UserName.".
In the box labeled "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)," type.
In the box labeled "Incoming mail server (IMAP)," type.
Type the box labeled "E-mail Address.".
In the"Add New E-mail Account" window, type YourName in thebox labeled "Your Name":.
Make sure the option button next to "InternetE-mail" is selected then click Next:.
Click the check box next to Manually configure serversettings or additional server types:.
Accept the defaultselection of "MicrosoftExchange, POP3,IMAP or HTTP" and click Next:.
In the Windows Control Panel, double-click the Mailicon.
Next,you will create a new e-mail accountin Outlook 2007 and set it up as an IMAP client. (The e-mail messages will remain in the folder on your local computer.)
Selectthe POP account(it will show "POP/SMTP" as its account type).
If your messages have already been moved to a folder on your local computer, to get them back to your UD e-mail, you mustfirst remove the Outlook POP account and then set up an IMAP account.To do this: While using the wizard, you must manually configure theserver settings to prevent this from happening. If Outlook is set up as a POP3 account, thefirst time youopen your e-mail, your inbox messages disappear from the mail serverand are put in a folderon yourlocal computer. By default, the Outlook setupwizard will configure the incoming mail server asPOP3 rather than IMAP.
